The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has released a description of a black male who is suspected of two armed robberies at Schabarum Trail. The most recent incident took place on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at around 8:30 p.m..
Many Mt. SAC students visit Schabarum Trail, which is located on Arbor Ridge Drive and Country Hollow Drive, about two miles away from the college. Even though the trail’s popular times are between 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the week, its peak hours are between 8 p.m and midnight on weekends.
Three Diamond Bar residents, who attend Mt. SAC and Cal. Poly Pomona, were finishing their hike when a man dressed in black clothing approached them with a semi-automatic weapon.
The suspect demanded for their cellphones. The victims complied with the suspect’s order and left in a dark colored sedan that was waiting for him.
The suspect is described to be a 20-30 year old black male. He is believed to be 6-feet-4-inches tall with a thin build.
