Azusa residents noticed a blaze around noon on Sunday, Sept. 9 just off of Highway 39.
Near the San Gabriel Reservoir around East Fork Road, a 166 acre fire forced two campgrounds to evacuate.
Three firefighters had minor injuries.

Judy said no structures were threatened and firefighters helped stranded drivers through a typically closed section from Route 39 to the Angeles Crest Highway.
It was contained 54 percent at 166 acres, with an unknown cause as of 7 pm. Monday Sept. 10.
It is expected to be contained by Friday, Sept. 14 according to the incident information system.
