After a competitive game, Mt. SAC and San Bernardino Valley played to a 0-0 draw last Thursday night. SAC and SBV were both charged with four yellow cards due to the physicality of the game.
SAC displayed excellent defense throughout the game keeping the ball away from their side of the field. Sophomore defender and team captain Felipe Cobain (6) played a pivotal role in the defense by repeatedly challenging SBV’s attackers and creating space for his team. SAC’s offense attempted to create opportunities by having five shots on goal.
Unfortunately SAC was unable to score but they were able to keep the ball moving upfield for the majority of the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Ledesma (0) was instrumental in keeping SBV from scoring by blocking two shots.
This is SAC’s second consecutive tie with their record standing at 3-0-2 for the season.
SAC’s next game is scheduled for Monday, Sept.16, against MiraCosta College.
