The Mt. SAC Men’s Water Polo team kept up their positive direction this season with an amazing 23-5 win over the Chaffey Panthers.
In SAC’s great 20-10 win over the Rio Hondo Roadrunners on Oct. 2, freshman attacker Trevor Davis (13) ensured all his teammates got a touch early in the first period. Assisting a goal to sophomore center Luke Fulkerson (17), sophomore utility player Michael McMillian (8) and freshman guard Lucas Heath (21).
And that same energy had transferred from the game against the Roadrunners to the game against the Panthers.
With Davis (13) having three goals being assisted by Fulkerson (17), McMillian (8) and freshman center defender Ryan Jackson (12) all coming in the first period alone, the team wasn’t done there.
Freshman attacker Nicolas Lara(9) scored two goals assisted by the likes of Fulkerson (17) and Davis (13). SAC scored a total of 13 goals before the Panthers could finally answer back with a goal of their own.
In the third and fourth periods, for every goal the Panthers scored, SAC would score three goals. SAC would even score four goals at one point between the third and fourth periods before the Panthers scored their next goal.
SAC had 10 different combinations of players assisting and scoring goals in the last two periods of the game, showing incredible team chemistry in this 23-5 win over the Panthers.
The next Mt. SAC Men’s water polo game is at Long Beach City College on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Let’s see if SAC continues their forward momentum.
