The energy backstage was filled with nerves as all the students and teachers were getting ready to perform inside an overflowing theater that came together to raise money for the students of Mt. SAC. Stalin Chatarpaul is finishing up her makeup. Photo credit: Lauren Berny.
Backstage was where all the hustle and bustle happened while all the performers were getting ready. It was hectic and exhilarating as everyone quickly ran past each other with clothes and props in hand. Some were still putting on their different shades of glittery makeup and red lipstick, while others were putting on glamorous wings and outfits. They were all getting in character and in the zone for the night to remember. The lights flickered twice, warning everyone that showtime was moments away. The magic of what was about to happen that night required months of planning and collaboration from faculty and students to make this one night come to life. Every person who purchased a ticket helped benefit students with scholarships.
