The Most Exciting Releases Coming This Fall

The return of pumpkin spice marks the closing of summer, the autumn bloom is in the air and a blustery breeze can easily be felt. This summer was packed with epic entertainment releases from Olivia Rodrigo to Maneskin, “Barbenheimer” and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had movie theaters packed and social media buzzing.

Here’s a look at the highly anticipated musical, cinematic and literary releases that will have us curled up by the fire or hiding under a blanket this fall.



Dolly Parton: “Rockstar” (Sept. 17)

Parton will release a collaborative rock ‘n’ roll album featuring rock’s most iconic musicians.

Ed Sheeran: “Autumn Variations” (Sept. 29) 

Sure to be a fall classic, Sheeran’s newest album will be produced by household name, Aaron Dessner.

Taylor Swift: “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” (Oct. 27)

This next installment of Swift’s re-recordings is sure to be played by fans and the radio, at least until next year.

Nicki Minaj: “Pink Friday 2” (Nov. 17)

A sequel to her iconic debut album, Minaj is making a return after a five-year album hiatus.

“A Haunting in Venice” (Sept. 15)

Based on the Agatha Christie novel “Hallowe’en Party”, after a seance takes a deadly turn, everybody is a suspect and unexplainable happenings occur.


The Exorcist: Believer” (Oct. 13)

Proceeding the events of the original “Exorcist” (1973), after his daughter and her friend go missing, a father notices his child is not the same girl he raised and he must do everything he can to save her.


“Killers of the Flower Moon” (Oct. 20)

Martin Scorsese’s star-studded adaptation of David Grann’s non-fiction book, which focuses on murder and greed in Oklahoma after oil is found on native land.


“Five Nights at Freddy’s” (Oct. 27)

From Blumhouse Productions and based on the iconic video game, a security guard takes the night shift at an abandoned pizza joint where the neglected animatronics have targeted his daughter.


“Thanksgiving” (Nov. 17)

In this slasher, a small town in Massachusetts that celebrates Thanksgiving with pride and passion is plagued by a serial killer with his own twisted holiday plans.



“Wildfire” by Hannah Grace (Oct. 3)

Grace’s Maple Hills series is irresistible and iconic to readers of the romance genre, so her next book in the series is sure to be a fall book club favorite.


“My Darling Girl” by Jennifer McMahon (Oct. 3)

From a New York Times bestseller, this psycho thriller is about a woman who suspects something haunting her family while she takes care of her ailing alcoholic mother.


“A Winter in New York” by Josie Silver (Oct. 3)

In this romance novel, a young chef moves to New York and unexpectedly stumbles upon her mother’s gelato recipe, and a handsome stranger after venturing into a gelateria.


“The Other Half” by Charlotte Vassell (Nov. 21)

Vassell’s debut mystery novel about the murder of a wealthy man’s girlfriend at a party will widen eyes and have audiences sleuthing this fall.

A warm jazz album for Thanksgiving, a scary slasher movie for Halloween and a sweet novel for the transition to winter. There is a lot to look forward to this upcoming autumn.
