The Anaheim Packing District and Seed People Market presented an eco-conscious and serene experience, hosting the third annual Mother Earth Market on Sept. 23.

At Farmer’s Park, located just outside of the iconic Packing House, the eco-village gathered for this regenerative, free event advocating wellness and sustainability from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event offered a multitude of ways to relax from healthy food options, open-air yoga sessions, sustainability live speakers, Cali reggae music and a clothing and vinyl swap. A vinyl and clothing swap concept reintroduced bartering and the idea that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

Exploreytion’s clothing swap, located in front of the silver mobile home, was a spin on greening the fashion industry and retail market. Participants were allowed to take and give away up to 10 items each for free.

Black Vinyl Vintage hosted a vinyl trade for people to exchange and buy timeless records. Cassette tapes and CDs were available for sale.

Live performances set the ambiance with Cali reggae by Ms. B Royal and healing sounds by DJ Cristiano.

Serein Botanicals, one of the eco-friendly vendors featured, is a line of mindfully crafted cleansing aromas for home and body, skincare and wellness. Handcrafted in Los Angeles by Joanna Soon, the line began with a “heal salve.”

Soon, she noticed a need for an all-around healing salve for irritated skin during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her most populous items: the healing salve and toners, originated with her friend’s support. Now, she has transformed her small business into a full-time success.

Eco Now, another vendor, specializes in zero-waste products from reusable straws to natural body care and home care.

The Anaheim Packing House will host its last market of the year Golden Years Market on October 21 between 11-5 p.m. Vintage finds from clothing to housewares from shops all over Southern California will join at this free entry event.
