Taylor Swift is one of the blandest musicians of our time.
Despite the amount of love that is being thrown at her these days, her lack of musical talent has been on display for over a decade.
Her lackluster work is continuing to display itself throughout her career even until now, and it is seen in her recently re-released albums. Swift has recently re-released four albums displaying her lack of creativity. Only putting “Taylor’s Version” in front of them. “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” “Red (Taylor’s Version),” “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
When changes like a “shaky breath” are being commented on by publications from her “Taylor’s Version” it shows how little there is to actually say about her changes. There is more change in a cash-free store than there is in Swift’s “transformative” songs.
The renowned record producer and musician, Quincy Jones perfectly illustrates the issue with Swift. When asked about what was wrong with her, Jones said, “We need more songs, man. Fucking songs, not hooks.”
Swift’s inability to write a decent song being called out by a man who’s been in the industry for 72 years speaks volumes to how inept Swift is at writing.
Not only does Swift make lackluster music, she is also a shrewd businesswoman.
According to Popsugar, a nearly $400 million dollar net worth isn’t enough for Swift. Her greediness knows no bounds and for years complained about the masters she signed away.
In her cunning cleverness, Swift re-records her music to get past not owning the originals according to Vox. Further cementing her insatiable hunger for relevance and wealth.
Swift’s selfishness and aggression towards Scooter Braun in her attempt to own the masters was so apparent that even her colleagues had to comment. Demi Lovato described Braun as a “good man” and Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, shared a message to Twitter stating, “Why all the division” in reference to Swift and Braun’s contention.
A contention she fabricated because she lost something she never had the rights to. The level of entitlement Swift displays for all to see is wild. Swift is only nearing her 30’s during this time so maybe it isn’t fair to critique someone so immature.
It wasn’t until 2022 when she released an anti-hero that even the concept of her being the problem was shared “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.”
Never has Swift spoken truer words.
