Mt. SAC jazz artists came together to provide attendees with a thought-provoking experience.

On May 2, 2024, the Mt. SAC Lab Band and Jazz Ensemble held a concert at the Sophia B. Clarke Theater.

Displaying their soulful sounds to those in attendance, the concert had a variety of musicians coming together to present music with delightful, groovy and haunting sounds. If you could not make it to this wonderful event, mark your calendars for June 1 at 7:30 p.m. to see the Vocal Jazz Concert at the Sophia B. Clarke Theater.

 

Director Jeff Ellwood leads the horn section which consists of from bottom from left to right Joseph Diaz on the baritone saxophone, on alto saxophone Evie Giacoletti, Diego Delgado and John Taylor. Brenda Jarquin plucked the strings on the upright bass, packing a soft but mighty punch. (Jude Franco)

 

Matthew Esqueda delivered an infectious rhythm with the funky sound of the organ.
