Everyone has opinions, mine just happen to be right. Here are 10 quick hitting opinions that I don’t really need to go more into, because again, I am right.
1: Grown men shouldn’t wear shorts.
I don’t really care how hot it is, or how hot you think you are. Wear pants. Preferably jeans, just NOT shorts. Especially not cargo shorts.
2: In-N-Out is a 7.5/10 at BEST.
I’m born and raised in SoCal. I can speak with authority that the taste is a 7.5 on the best day, and that’s only the burger. Yes, the price is amazing and the quality is top notch. But the fries are literally not worth getting. It’s just too mid for its own good
and while we’re at it..
3: The Habit is much better than In-N-Out.
Better fries, and a comparable burger. Yes the price is more, but you get BBQ sauce??? Ranch??? A DECENT SWEET TREAT OPTION??? The Habit wins everyday of the week.
4: Coke Zero is better than Diet Coke (but still boycott them!).
Don’t order/buy things from Coke because we should be boycotting them. BUT, that doesn’t change the fact that Coke Zero is, without a doubt, 100% better than Diet Coke and I do not think people are ready for that conversation.
5: Driving in traffic really isn’t that bad.
Just be better. Believe me, I wish we didn’t have to deal with it. But it’s a part and fact of life in LA, and the sooner we accept that it isn’t that bad if you just have good music to listen to or a friend to call.
Talking about driving..
6: If you can’t drive around LAX TWICE ! without getting honked at, we should take your license away.
That should be the TEST to get your license in LA. You should have to not get honked at twice. Everyone says how stressful it is, everyone talks about how much they hate LAX but for better or for worse. It’s a very big part of how we live in LA. So you better figure out how to drive LAX because if you can’t drive that, you probably can’t drive all that well.
7: Trader Joe’s is only good for people who don’t know how to cook.
They have good snacks and I’ll give them that. But as a grocery store, their produce is not fresh and it goes bad in what feels like hours. They do not have nearly a large enough selection of raw ingredients to actually make a recipe happen, and therefore, I never go there. It’s not a one-stop-shop the way something like Vons is.
8: You absolutely should hate the player AND the game.
The player is the one who did the thing, I don’t really care if the “game” allows for it, the player is the one who did it. I’m not really talking about sports or video games. If someone cuts you in line because the line isn’t organized, absolutely hate the player. If someone takes your parking spot because they are an asshole, I don’t care if that’s the game. Hate the player that did it too.
9: Retail is harder than food service.
I’ve worked in food service for just under six years, and I’ve never worked retail. But seeing as, typically, food service workers get tips and the time passes sooner, I think retail is harder. Food service workers have to deal with worse people, but (again typically), they make more and so it’s probably worth it, and thus easier.

10: Appetizers are better than entrees.
85% of the time, appetizers are what my friends and I remember about a meal. Yeah sure, entrees are good, but almost never better. I’d rather order three appetizers and get a great spread of types of foods and flavors, than one overpriced entree that’s going to be forgettable anyway.
10.5: Twitter is Twitter, and it is not X. If you call it X you’re a loser.
The ONLY time it is okay to deadname something is when it’s Twitter, because it isn’t even a deadname. Twitter is Twitter. It does not matter that other losers call it X, because that is not what it is. Even after all of the horrible updates, removal of Fleets or the ability to buy a checkmark, Twitter’s ethos is still present for the real, original and native users of the app. It always has been, and always will be Twitter. And I will further continue to refer to it as such, intentionally.
11: Twitter is the greatest platform.
While it’s next to impossible to ignore the fact that it’s owned by a Nazi, between Twitter’s role in the 2008 Arab Spring to the funniest memes on the internet (especially when horrible people die) Twitter is the best place to find humor and art. And there’s a reason the world’s richest man wanted to buy it; it is the online home of a lot of leftist spaces and thoughts. There is a concerted effort to ensure that these types of spaces are targeted, and there’s a reason Twitter was at the top of the list.
12: Not using AI makes you better.
I grew up having to HANDWRITE entire essays in 40 minutes. In high school, everything about AP exams was done handwritten, in a testing building. If you rely on AI to do anything, I can do it better and at a higher quality without harming the planet. Those who do not use AI, especially for things related to art and writing, are literally just better than you. It’s a skill issue, and you should just get better.
I rest my case(s).
