Just some opinions I have that are solely based on vibes and not rooted in logic whatsoever.
1. Every menu should have pictures for every item
I can’t tell you how many times I have actually decided not to order a menu item because there was no picture of it. If there’s no picture then I have to look on Yelp, and sometimes Yelp doesn’t load or there’s no picture of the item. Then the waiter comes back and I get anxious cause I don’t know what to do. Then I take forever to place my order and waste everyone’s time. A picture is of utmost importance as it lets me know exactly what I’m getting myself into. (I just had to take a deep breath, sorry)
2. Halloween is the superior holiday
I could talk about this every day and actually I kind of already do. I love Halloween so much. It is my favorite time of year and it is far superior to any other holiday. Again, my reasoning for this is truly just based on vibes. Nothing makes me happier than Halloween time. I love horror movies, pumpkin scented candles and seeing people’s costumes. It is just so cozy, happy and whimsical. I love it.
3. If you don’t like watching movies something is wrong with you
I can’t wrap my brain around this. I truly think that movies are the greatest gift on Earth. Not only do movies breathe so much life into our world, but have the power to entirely transform people’s perspectives. I firmly believe they contribute to the development of a stronger sense of empathy and emotional intelligence as an individual.
4. If you’re energetic without caffeine you’re terrifying and I don’t believe you
This truly baffles me. I don’t even know what to say. The most energetic people I have ever met say they “don’t ever drink caffeine,” and I know there’s science behind this, but I still don’t believe it. You’re lying to me, just admit it. (But also if you’re serious then tell me your secret because I spend way too much money on coffee. It’s the greatest joy of my life, but my bank account can’t take it.)
5. Every song should be written in a minor key
I understand that this is a very specific and probably an unpopular take. I need to preface by saying that I listen to very emotional music. If you have a favorite song that is emotional that isn’t already in a minor key, go to YouTube and look up a minor key version. You will sob and feel internal turmoil but in a good way. Doesn’t it make it sound so spooky but so magical? You’re welcome.
6. We should collectively start treating celebrities like normal human beings
There are very few things that give me as much secondhand embarrassment as seeing videos of celebrity encounters in which the fans are acting insane. I’ve seen people swarm celebrities, take pictures and videos an inch away from their face. I’ve seen people touch them or hug them without asking. There’s a difference between asking kindly for a photo or even having a calm conversation with them if they have time to talk versus practically attacking them. They are just human beings like everyone else.
7. If you buy a concert ticket, you should stay for the entire set
I get it. We all want to beat traffic. I just think it’s so rude to leave a concert early, especially when it’s a smaller venue where the artist can actually see people flooding out. I can’t think about it for too long or I’ll cry.
8. TikTok edits should be used as movie trailers
I can honestly say that there have been countless occasions during which I have watched a movie as a result of seeing the most jaw dropping, inspiring and all around incredible TikTok edit. I’m afraid that I can’t say the same for movie trailers. It does happen, but trailers rarely ever do the movie justice, whereas sometimes TikTok edits are better than the movie itself.
9. Crying a lot should be embraced
Personally, I think crying is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself. Why would you try to suppress the emotions you are experiencing? I am a crier and I’ve grown to be proud of it. Feeling deeply is such a beautiful thing. Don’t let people make you feel ashamed of that!
10. If you drive in silence you are not real
If you are one of these people you terrify me. Let’s start there. I just don’t understand how you function. No music? No podcast? No ambient noise? No talking to someone on the phone? I’m getting chills just thinking about it. What do you do then? I’m perplexed and frightened.
But anyway! Thanks for reading. I was actually giggling and kicking my feet writing this, it was so silly and fun.

+1 on Halloween being the GOAT.
Set in Fall when the weather cools, no familial obligations required, just spooky pumpkin goodness.
