The Mt. SAC crime log is a tool utilized by the police and campus safety department to relay to students what crimes are reported on campus with 68 crimes being reported over the last six months.
The crime log is maintained In accordance with the Clery Act which requires campuses to report crime data and support victims of crimes. Some of the crimes reported on campus range from Vehicle Hit and Runs to cases of rape and sexual battery.

The second most reported crimes were those of sexual assault. Most of this data comes from a set of crimes that occurred from 2023 to 2024 but were reported recently. Currently these cases are marked as closed on the crime log, with the campus Title IX office instead handling an investigation into the reports.

SAC Media reached out to the Title IX office for comment on April 6, but it did not respond.

These two crimes are defined as thefts where the taken items or services are valued at less than $950 while grand theft are the thefts that exceed that number.
Similarly to the hit and runs, these crimes occurred across campus.
The only case of grand theft that has occurred on campus happened in the campus bookstore when two suspects went inside and one put books inside of a backpack while another distracted an employee. It’s unknown at this time that the total price of the stolen books were.
