Visionary. Authentic. Evolving.
These are quick hits from my own experiences and personal views. Let’s dive right in.
1: Skinny jeans don’t deserve the hate.
Skinny jeans get hate for their “unflattering” appearance, but if you don’t know how to style them just say that. Skinny jeans are a staple in my book.
2: Ban TikTok.
The obsession with TikTok is unhealthy. It creates a phone addiction that blurs the lines between people’s personal lives and their digital ones. There’s too many people with no real hobbies and are just plain out over sharing on the internet. Let’s all touch grass and stop ruining our digital footprint.
3: Come with your friend, leave with your friend.
Ladies especially, if you go out with your friend, please don’t leave her to hop in a random guy’s car. Girl 101 of friendships: never abandon your friend in public. If you do, you’re a selfish person.
4: Regular work weeks should be four days long.
Five days being the norm for most of the working class should be optional. Working five days and having two off days is criminal. Work should not be more important than your personal life.
5: The beauty standard should be hairy.
When most people see body hair, their immediate thought is “they should shave.” We need to normalize seeing scarily hairy legs and armpits, specifically in women. Stop the propaganda that being hairy is not feminine and clean.
6: Age gap relationships shouldn’t be a topic.
If two consenting adults decide to engage in a relationship, why should it matter? Sure it can be weird, but stop making people feel bad for their decisions. They’re not hurting anyone. Simply turn your head if you don’t like it.
7: Unconfrontational people cause more problems.
Unconfrontational people stay quiet to try and keep the peace, but in the long run they stir the pot even more. When you don’t say anything it leaves room for assumption and people you love to assume the worst. For the sake of everyone, learn to speak up when you’re not ok with something.
8: Some kids need spankings.
Now, I’m not saying to abuse children, but for some kids, getting yelled at is not enough. Corporal punishment is for the hard-headed kids who think they rule the world. Building a healthy amount of fear in children is what keeps their head on straight.
9: Learning social cues needs to be a general education requirement in college.
Being able to read the room is severely underrated and is the most lacking social skill. Nothing irritates me more than people not knowing when to speak, and the vibe of the room changes. It seems like everyone notices, but them. If it’s a skill not everyone is born with, let’s teach it.
10: Janet Jackson should’ve never been blacklisted.
After her 2004 Super Bowl performance with Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson was blacklisted and faced criticism for her breast being exposed by Timberlake. The media chewed her up, for a wardrobe malfunction that was obviously not her fault. Janet Jackson deserves an apology from all of us.
That’s all from me. I hope you guys agree with my right opinions.
