Coming up with a Halloween costume is probably one of the most stressful things ever if you’re a procrastinator like myself. I usually don’t plan my costumes ahead of time cause what’s the fun in that? This year I wanted to put on a costume that really represented who I am as a person and what better way to do that than research what fictional characters share the same traits as my astrological sign. Don’t worry, I got us covered. Here are some halloween costume ideas based on your zodiac sign.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 23 – Jan. 20)

Velma from Scooby Doo

I feel like this is an obvious one. Capricorns are known for being responsible, disciplined and extremely smart and Velma has all of those traits! Who wouldn’t want to wear a turtleneck for the night and pass up the opportunity to say “Jinkies!” all night long? Maybe even try recreating Velma’s iconic look from the live action Scooby Doo movies!

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19)

Shaggy from Scooby Doo

Aquarius is one of the more introverted signs, but once you get to know them they break out of that shell and are extremely energetic and eccentric. They love hanging out with friends and love helping others. Another thing is that they are really level headed and are able to see both sides of the problem just like Shaggy in the Scooby Doo movies.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20)

Alice from Alice in Wonderland

Pisces are commonly known as the intuitive sign. They are also very friendly and often find themselves becoming friends with others fairly easily. Pisces are selfless, wise, and gentle. They will do anything to help the ones they love, much like Alice, from Alice in Wonderland.

Aries (Mar. 21 – Apr. 20)

Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story

Aries are naturally brave and aren’t afraid to take risks. They also really love to take control and are competitive. They sometimes jump in head-first without thinking of the outcome which Buzz tends to do throughout the Toy Story films.

Taurus (Apr. 21 – May 21)

Daphne from Scooby Doo

I promise this article isn’t some sort of Scooby Doo promo. Daphne has some major Taurus energy. Taurus are well-grounded and practical, but they can also be stubborn. Daphne knows what she wants and goes for it! Taurus is ruled by Venus, the love planet. Daphne always shows love for her friends and her high fashion clothes.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter

Draco Malfoy and Geminis have a bad reputation because people stereotype them to be two-faced, mean and sarcastic, but that isn’t the case for them. Geminis are affectionate, gentle, and friendly. They’ll spark up a conversation with just about anyone. One stereotype about Geminis that is true is that they are quick-witted, just like Draco. He is literally the king of comebacks.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Fred from Scooby Doo

Ah, yes. One of the water signs. Cancers are known for being very sensitive and sentimental. They care deeply about their friends and loved ones and can’t help but be a tad bit possessive of them. They are extremely loyal to the people they love, but they aren’t very patient with others. Fred cares deeply for his friends and sometimes doesn’t have the patience for Shaggy and Scooby; Fred really is a true Cancer.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 21)

Lottie (from Princess and the Frog)

Leos absolutely adore attention. They get upset when they aren’t the center of attention, sheesh. Leos are also extremely dramatic and self-centered, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re selfish. They are known for being warm-hearted and generous just like Lottie.

Virgo (Aug. 22 – Sept. 23)

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter

Virgos are always one step ahead and are always paying attention to the small details. Throughout the films, that is what Hermione does. She is also loyal, hardworking and over critical of herself (and others). Virgos are very goal oriented and are constantly worried about missing small parts of information, much like Hermione.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23)

Luke Skywalker from Star Wars

Libras are known for being peacemakers. They will do everything in their power to restore balance back into the universe. They are constantly chasing after justice and equality for all, and they will try their best to avoid conflict. If there is one thing I learned from watching the Star Wars movies is that Luke Skywalker is for the people; that is a major Libra trait.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22)

Black Widow from Marvel’s Cinematic Universe

Natasha Romanoff is literally the glue of the Avengers team. She’s brave, loyal, and assertive. Scorpios love nothing more than making lifelong friends. They are also very stubborn and won’t back down from believing what they think is right. The audience really learned that about Black Widow during Avengers: Endgame. Do your best not to get on a Scorpio’s bad side; they might forgive, but they never forget.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 22)

Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes has some massive Sagittarius energy. Sagittarius are curious, open-minded, and idealistic. One thing their sign is able to do that others can’t is make their thoughts a reality. They will do anything to achieve their goals just like Sherlock Holmes would do anything to solve a mystery.
